HPL laminate panels are robust high-pressure laminates. This means that the individual layers of the panels are pressed together at high temperatures and high pressure in a complex manufacturing process. The individual layers of the HPL panels consist of resin-impregnated paper. During the complex production process, a high-quality material that is suitable for a wide variety of applications is created layer by layer.
This is, of course, putting it fairly simply. There are myriad ways structural glazing can be implemented in a design – the most important thing to note is that we’ve come so far with glazing technology, glass can be used as a structural material in almost any situation.
